An engineering device that performs FA system design, and is equipped with: a system configuration data creation means (101) for the purpose of creating system configuration data representing the connection configuration for a display device, control device, and the like; a component holding means (102) that holds a control component, a screen component, and label information, as a set; a component assignment means (103) that assigns a control component to a control device and assigns a screen component to a display device; a component reflection means (104) that renders the control component capable of being used in the creation/editing of a control device program and renders the screen component capable of being used in the creation/editing of display device screen data; a device connection information creation means (105) that automatically creates device connection information for the purpose of monitoring/operating the control device from the display device; a label device information editing means (106) that edits the actual device information corresponding to the label information; and a component solution means (107) that correlates the device connection information and the actual device information with a control component and a screen component, enabling their use with the control device and the display device.
