摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable-field rotary electric machine that uses less magnets. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 10 includes: a rotating shaft 12; a rotor core 14 that is fixedly mounted on an outer circumference of the rotating shaft 12; a cylindrical stator 16 that is arranged on a radially outer side of the rotor core 14; a field yoke 18 that is provided on an outer circumference of the stator 16; and field coils 20a and 20b that form first magnetic circuits MC1 and second magnetic circuits MC2 between the field yoke 18 and the rotor core 14 so as to allow control of an amount of magnetic flux between the rotor core 14 and a stator core 30. On an outer circumference thereof, the rotor core 14 has first magnetic pole component members 24 and second magnetic pole component members 26 that are circumferentially separated from one another. The first magnetic pole component members 24 form part of the respective first magnetic circuits MC1 where magnetic flux generated by the field coil 20a provided on a first axial end flows. The second magnetic pole component members 26 form part of the respective second magnetic circuits MC2 where magnetic flux generated by the field coil 20b provided on a second axial end flows. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
