<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique, in a system for determining deterioration of an exhaust emission control device arranged on an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, for determining the deterioration of the exhaust emission control device including an oxidation catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The system for determining the deterioration of the exhaust emission control device includes: the exhaust emission control device arranged on the exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine and including the oxidation catalyst; a supply device for supplying a reducing agent, such as fuel, to exhaust flowing into the exhaust emission control device; and an oxygen concentration sensor for measuring oxygen concentration in the exhaust flowing out from the exhaust emission control device. When a variation width (amplitude) of the oxygen concentration detected by the oxygen concentration sensor is smaller than normal amplitude of the exhaust emission control device upon a supply of the reducing agent from the supply device, the system determines that the exhaust emission control device is deteriorated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
