<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to further reduce consumption power while identifying an available base station. <P>SOLUTION: A radio unit according to an embodiment comprises: a first radio module which receives identification information of a base station transmitted by the base station; a second radio module which operates with less consumption power than the first radio module and receives a marker signal transmitted by the base station; and a control module. The second radio module determines whether or not there is a marker signal whose reception power is larger than a threshold value, and transmits to the control module marker detection information including information indicating a marker signal larger than the threshold value. The control module makes the first radio module operate for a certain period if information is included indicating a new marker signal in the marker detection information output by the second radio module, and performs processing of associating the identification information of the base station received by the first radio module during the operation period with information indicating the marker signal detected by the second radio module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
