SWITCHING RELAY WITH SWITCHING HOLDING FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable switching with a simple structure and for a short time when existing equipment is replaced by new equipment.

SOLUTION: When an electromagnetic relay 4 of a relay body 2 is magnetized, a shape-memory alloy spring 27 is heated by a seat heater 28 of a lock mechanism unit 3 to move a lock operation plate 24 to the side of a usual spring 26. And the engagement with an engaging groove 23 of a lock release shaft 21 in a lock cam 30 installed in the lock operation plate 24 is released, and a positioning plate 18 is moved to the side of the relay body 2 by a lock spring 20, and the movement of a movable part of the electromagnetic relay 4 is prevented by the tip of a lock member 17 installed in the positioning plate 18 so that the electromagnetic relay 4 can be surely kept in an excited state even when the excitation of the electromagnetic relay 4 is released.
