Disclosed are a short message sending method of a mobile terminal and a system. The short message sending method comprises: extracting receiver information; extracting a short message text and sending the short message text and the receiver information, so that a mobile terminal corresponding to the receiver information receives the short message text and the receiver information. Through the above method, the mobile terminal of the present invention not only sends the short message text but also sends the receiver information, enhancing the support to the group-based short message sending, so that the receiver can acquire information of all receivers, further facilitating response to the group-based short message sending. Moreover, carbon copy and blind carbon copy functions with respect to the short message are further added in the present invention.
