PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processed pigment exhibiting excellent dispersion stability for stably maintaining dispersed primary particles even in finely pulverized pigment, and capable of producing a color filter of good color characteristics with reduced variation in color density when the color filter is produced from a colored actinic ray-sensitive or radiation-sensitive composition containing a pigment dispersion composition using the processed pigment.

SOLUTION: The processed pigment is prepared by coating a heterocyclic azo pigment of the specific structure having an average primary particle diameter of 5-50 nm with a polymer compound. The pigment dispersion composition using the same, the colored actinic ray-sensitive or radiation-sensitive composition, the color filter, the pattern forming method, the method for manufacturing the color filter for the solid state imaging element, the color filter for the solid state imaging element, and the solid state imaging element are also disclosed.
