<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of knocking, while suppressing decrease in output performance during a high-load operation of an internal combustion engine and consumption of high-octane fuel to the utmost. <P>SOLUTION: When there is a request for increasing output torque of an internal combustion engine 1 performing an operation using high-octane fuel and low-octane fuel, a high-octane fuel supply ratio to a combustion chamber 3 is increased with the increase in air supply amount to the combustion chamber 3. The high-octane fuel supply ratio to the combustion chamber 3 is then decreased with the decrease in air supply amount to the combustion chamber in response to a request for decreasing the output torque of the internal combustion engine 1. In such a state where the high-octane fuel supply ratio is decreased with the decrease in the air supply amount to the combustion chamber 3, an EGR rate is increased or an actual compression ratio is reduced by performing an Atkinson cycle operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
