摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve medium conveyance in which the movement of the roller for conveying hardly receives the effect of inertia caused by rolled paper. <P>SOLUTION: A printer includes a roll driving mechanism for causing a roll to rotate and a medium to be conveyed, a roll drive unit for driving the roll driving mechanism, a first conveying mechanism arranged in a downstream side in a conveying direction from the roll for conveying the medium, a first drive unit for driving the first conveying mechanism, a second conveying mechanism arranged between the roll and the first conveying mechanism and for conveying the medium, and a second drive unit for driving the second conveying mechanism, and a controller for performing a control in such a way that when there is a change in the rate at which the first conveying mechanism conveys the medium, the maximum amount of a difference between the amount of the medium conveyed by the roll driving mechanism and the amount of the medium conveyed by the second conveying mechanism exceeds the maximum amount of the difference between the amount of the medium conveyed by the second conveying mechanism and the amount of the medium conveyed by the first conveying mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
