A previous IP(Internet Protocol) address setup method in a mobile communication system is provided to be capable of previously executing IP address setup usable after handover, before the handover is performed, thereby reducing delay taken for the IP setup after the handover. A terminal transmits an information request message which demands information on an IP address of an entity to be connected for IP address setup and an IP address setup method to be used in a target base station for performing handover. An IP address to be used in the target base station for performing the handover is set according to information included in a response message for the information request message. |
