<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book recommendation system which enables a user to make and provide recommendation information associated with a book having contents which interest the user. <P>SOLUTION: The book recommendation system includes: an information holding unit (information holding mechanism 302) which holds user information, book names of book information, classification information, book identification information, and user interest information for all system users associatively with the book names; and a recommendation creation unit (recommendation creation mechanism 304) which refers to the respective pieces of information that the information holding unit holds to extract book names and user interest information that the user information and the book information indicate for all the system users based upon the classification information and the book identification information as keys and to total the book names and the user interest information in a first table, and creates recommended book information including book names except book names of books that a user of the system owns in the first table when the user interest information shows the system user is interested in the book in the first table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
