PURPOSE: A system for supplying hot and cold water is provided to reduce the cost of maintenance by partly or totally shutting down the power of the system when a fluid flow is not generated in a mixing water pipe or a circulation water pipe. CONSTITUTION: A system for supplying hot and cold water comprises a vertical cold water pipe(10), a central heat exchanger, a vertical hot water pipe(30), a heat exchanger(40) for heating residual water, a domestic hot water return pipe(50), a mixing water control valve, mixing water pipes, a circulation water pipe(80), a circulation water pump, a sensor for the temperature of the residual water, and a controller. The controller stops the circulation water pump in a normal operating mode. The controller operates the circulation water pump until the temperature of the residual water reaches the set temperature when a request for using the mixing water is received from users. The residual water is heated in the heat exchanger for heating the residual water, and flows into mixing water control valve. |
