<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition for optical drop cable jackets capable of having an excellent resistance against black cicadas while retaining physical properties, workability, and flame resistance of the resin composition that are required for a jacket material. <P>SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition for optical drop cable jackets includes: with respect to (A) 100 pts.mass of the resin comprising (a-1) 44-75 mass% of ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, (a-2) 18-35 mass% of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and (a-3) 7-21 mass% of high-density polyethylene that is denaturalized by unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative thereof, (B) 40-100 pts.mass of magnesium hydroxide, and (C) 5-15 pts.mass of red phosphorus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
