The present invention relates to a device (1) for packaging and applying a cosmetic product (P), especially to the eyelashes and/or eyebrows, comprising a container (2) containing the product (P) to be applied, an applicator (3) comprising a closure member (5) for the container (2), defining a gripping surface (17), an application member (8) and a stem (7) connecting the application member (8) to the closure member (5), the application member (8) and the stem (7) being inserted in the container (2) when the latter is closed by the applicator (3), the device also comprising a wiping member (6) for wiping the application member (8) when it is withdrawn from the container (2), the device (1) being characterized in that all its components are made from one or more thermoplastics, the chemical nature of which renders their simultaneous recycling compatible.
