Motor spindle unit with housing-free direct drive

The spindle unit (1) has a stator (2) axially tensioned at front sides using stator shields (4), and tie rods (5) distributed on a circumference of the stator shields. The stator includes a winding system that is arranged in grooves formed at an air gap of direct drive, where the winding system forms a winding head (7) at the front sides of the stator. A rotor (9) is formed as a part of a hollow spindle shaft (10) that includes a tool interface (11) at an end of the spindle shaft and a connection group (13) at another end of the spindle shaft. The rotor is designed as a squirrel-cage rotor of an asynchronous machine and a part of a permanent-magnet synchronous motor.
