The device for sterilizing cuboid cartons/plastic combination packs in an autoclave, comprises devices intended for rotationally driving the packs around a rotary axis (4) and provided in the interior of the autoclave, and a cuboid frame (1) for receiving the packs. The packs having product and packaging are subjected to a heat treatment at a determined temperature for a determined duration. The product is made of liquid and pelletized components. The packs are disposed closely spaced in parallel rows on carrier bases, and the carrier bases populated with packs are disposed over each other. The packs are disposed closely spaced in parallel rows on carrier bases, and the carrier bases populated with packs are disposed over each other and fixed in the opposing location. The frame contains tablet-like insert plates (2), which are arranged one upon the other and are intended for receiving the packs disposed closely in parallel rows and lying on their edge sides. The autoclave is a steam/air-rotating autoclave or a sprinkling-rotating autoclave. The frame has an opened lid (3), and wheels, skids, chains and/or rails for slightly inserting and/or recovering into the and/or from the autoclave. Each insert plate has rotating frames and web plates (16) running between the pack sides. The frames and/or the web plates are formed in a hollow-manner and have recesses, which are arranged, so that the packs lie itself at the tangential contact surfaces not in the area of the recesses. Each insert plate has no recesses or holes in the contact region with the packs of the bases. The insert plates are formed, so that a narrow air gap is present between the bases of the insert plates and the existing pack surfaces of the insert plates at loading temperature. The width of the air gap is 3-5 mm. An independent claim is included for cuboid cartons/plastic combination packs. |
