PURPOSE: An electronic device and control method thereof are provided to determine a touch attribute including a touch location by detecting a touch signal using a touch sensing type display unit. CONSTITUTION: A touch sensing type display unit(118) includes a controller and a touch sensor which detects a touch motion from a first touch location to a second touch location and detects a touch signal. When a distance between the first and the second touch location is satisfied with a first value of a threshold value, a processor(102) reports the second touch location to an application layer. When a distance between the second and a third touch location is satisfied with a second value, the processor converts the threshold value into the second value in order to report the third touch location to the application layer.
