COMPOSITION OF ANTIDANDRUFF HAIC CARE COSMETICS WITH CALENDULA OFFICINALIS FLOWER EXTRACT

PURPOSE: A claim dandruff hair cosmetic composition containing calendula extracts is provided to show synergistic effects for pityrosporum ovale which is a dandruff pathogen by containing zinc pyrithione and Calendula extracts at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A claim dandruff hair cosmetic composition containing calendula extracts contains 0.001-10% weight fraction of Calendula extracts and 0.001-10% weight fraction of zinc pyrithione. An anti-bacterial activity of zinc pyrithione towards pityrosporum ovale is the MIC(minimum inhibition concentration) of 4 ppm. The MIC of the Calendula extracts is 10 ppm. The MIC of the complex extract containing zinc pyrithione and Calendula extracts is 2ppm.
