PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for preheating a steelmaking ladle is provided to transfer most input heat to refractory materials by removing heat exhaust gas as heating closed electric resistance. CONSTITUTION: A method for preheating a steelmaking ladle is as follows. A resistance heating element formed in a cover is arranged in an internal space. When the surface of refractory materials of a ladle(1) is heated, the power(P) of a heating device(0) is set by a following formula with respect to a dissolution cycle(t) and the capacity(W) of the ladle; P>=(130±50)/t×W2/3. The surface area(A) of a heating element is set by a following formula with respect to the temperature(T) of the heating element; A>=P/(1.7T-2400). At this time, the temperature is greater than1600°C. |
