EXTENSION TYPE Y/Z SLIDES IMPROVED FOR ENLARGING THE OPERATIONAL RANGE OF THE LECKSELL STEREOTACTIC FRAME FOR THE GAMMA KNIFE RADIOSURGERY

PURPOSE: An extension type Y/Z slide for enlarging the operational range of a stereotactic frame for a gamma knife radiation surgery is provided to enable a radiation surgery over the whole area in a stereotactic frame. CONSTITUTION: A Y/Z slide body(710) is fixed to a Y-axis frame member of a stereotactic frame. A stick insertion groove(711) is arranged along a Z-axis in the Y/Z slide body. A coupling part(713a) is transversely extended in the Y/Z slide body. Extension blocks(720,721) are coupled to the left or right side of the Y/Z slide body. A fixing unit couples the extension blocks to the Y-axis frame member of the stereotactic frame.
