The assembly has an inner opening control part controlling an inner opening of a casement of a motor vehicle, where the control part includes an actuation lever. Actuation elements (14) unlock a lock and open a casement. The actuation elements include a lock unlocking unit (20) and a casement opening unit (30) controlled by the actuation lever. The lock unlocking unit and the casement opening unit are distinct from each other and actuated during successive stages by the lever. The lever includes a gripping handle (12a) allowing actuation of the lever by a user.
