<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable diagnostic device and a cable diagnostic method capable of detecting failure of a wired network existing from the beginning, and also capable of detecting failure occurring in several places. <P>SOLUTION: A 3-value conversion unit 13 which converts values of differential mode impedance Zdiff, common mode impedance Zcomm, and single end mode impedances Z3a, Z3b, measured by a TDR measurement unit 11, into 3 values is provided. With reference to an impedance table stored by an impedance table storage unit 14, a failure situation determination unit 15 determines the failure situation at each place in a wired network from the 3 values converted by the 3-value conversion unit 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
