<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor device which simplifies replacement work of a photoelectric conversion element with a relatively simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A flexible substrate has multiple photoelectric conversion elements on its surface. Positioning means allows the flexible substrate to move along the arrangement direction of the multiple photoelectric conversion elements and positions at least one of the photoelectric conversion elements at the use position. The flexible substrate slidably contacts with a substrate guide and the substrate guide guides the movement of the flexible substrate. The substrate guide is composed of a pair of rod like members arranged on both sides of the one of the photoelectric conversion elements so as to sandwich the photoelectric conversion element at the use position.
