<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample manufacturing device capable of saving the trouble needed to clean a sample cassette. <P>SOLUTION: Once manufacture of a sample is instructed to be started, a slide glass 10 smeared with a blood specimen is stored in a cassette 20 and then a dyeing part 50 supplies a stain solution to the cassette 20. Consequently, the sample is dyed. When cleaning of the cassette 20 is instructed to be started, an empty cassette 20 set at a cassette storage part 47 is supplied with methanol at a position Mp. The methanol reserved in the cassette 20 is collected thereafter at a position D1p. Consequently, even when the stain solution continues to stick more on the cassette 20, the cassette 20 can be automatically cleaned.
