<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of improving failure resistance during firmware update at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: An operation control unit 302 executes image processing by using firmware stored in a firmware storage unit 301. A firmware update unit 304 updates the firmware in the firmware storage unit 301 by replacing the firmware stored in the firmware storage unit 301 with update firmware acquired by an update data acquisition unit 303. An abnormality detection unit 305 detects existence of update abnormality while the firmware update unit 304 updates the firmware. When the abnormality detection unit 305 detects update abnormality, before the updated firmware is used, the firmware update unit 304 replaces again the firmware stored in the firmware storage unit 301 with the update firmware acquired by the update data acquisition unit 303. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
