<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing occurrence of toner dispersion and scumming even when forming a halftone image where electrostatic binding force between the toner and paper is weak. <P>SOLUTION: When no halftone image is included within a predetermined area from the head of image data (S15: NO), a CPU 81 allows an application section 52 to apply a transfer voltage at a timing when paper S passes through the upstream side of a transfer position P and starts up the transfer voltage to a rated voltage immediately from starting the application. When the halftone image is included (S15: YES), the CPU 81 allows the application section 52 to apply the transfer voltage at the timing when the paper S passes through the transfer position P, and starts up the transfer voltage to the rated voltage a predetermined time after starting the application. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
