The method involves predetermining a minimum temperature value (Tmin), temperature set value (Tsoll) and a maximum temperature value (Tmax). The time course of actual temperature of space, subject matter, gas or liquid is measured in regular time spacings. The instantaneous state of valve opening, electrical heating power and/or cooling performance are sequentially stored for particular time in order to find a mean value. The minimum temperature value, the temperature set value and maximum temperature value are changed manually or scheduled at any time.
