The invention relates to vehicle tires for commercial vehicles, comprising an at least three-layered belt (3) having a first, a second, and a third belt layer (7, 8, 9), wherein each belt layer (7, 8, 9) has steel cords for reinforcement, which each extend parallel to one another, and are inclined with respect to the circumferential direction of the tire. The second and the third belt layers (8, 9) are supporting belt layers having intersecting steel cords, wherein a rubber section (4) is arranged between the second and the third belt layer (8, 9) in the region of the belt edges (11, 12), wherein said rubber section, measured from the edge (11) of the third belt layer, extends less than 17 mm axially inwards, and extends axially outwards such that same completely covers the edge (12) of the second belt layer. |
