The fixing pin (1) has a head portion (2) and an insertion portion (3). Several tabs (4) are provided in the head portion that is connected with surface of circuit board. Several projections (5) are provided at outer circumference of the insertion portion. A flat region (6) is provided at the peripheral edge of the head portion. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing assembly of circuit board with metallic carrier.
