PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying an isoflavone fermentation metabolite more effectively than a conventional method by using a cellulose ester.
SOLUTION: A suitable condition has been examined in the purification of an isoflavone fermentation metabolite by using a bacterium classified into the Coriobacteriaceae family as an example of anaerobic microbes and producing equol which is an example of isoflavone fermentation metabolites. As a result, it has been found that equol is adsorbed to the cellulose ester by treating a fermentation broth with a cellulose ester (for example, cellulose acetate), and it has become clear that purification efficiency of equol is tremendously improved by conducting adsorption purification using this characteristic. That is, a suitable purification condition of the isoflavone fermentation metabolite has been successfully established.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
