<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission and a troidal type continuously variable transmission in which lubricant can be supplied stably even when using a prime mover such as an electric motor whose rotation direction is variable. <P>SOLUTION: The troidal type continuously variable transmission includes: input side discs 3, 3 and output side discs 5, 5 which are rotatably supported concentrically mutually while mutual inner side surfaces are opposed; a plurality of power rollers 4, 4 held between both discs; and a pump 20 for supplying lubricant to at least a traction surface as a surface where the power rollers 4, 4 and both discs come into contact. To the input side discs 3, 3, the prime mover 1A is connected whose rotation direction is selectable, and selective rotation transmission mechanisms 28, 29 are provided for selectively transmitting rotation of either of the input side discs 3, 3 and the output side discs 5, 5 to the pump 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
