FIELD: production of alcohol. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes fractionating column, rectifying column, heat exchangers, barometric condenser and vacuum pumps. Heat exchangers are mounted in form of stages for passage of vapor-alcohol mixture in ascending flow for separation of head fractions of fractionating column, for additional purification of alcohol of rectifying column and for separation of alcohol from fusel oil of rectifying column. Each heat exchanger is provided with individual cooling line and individual discharge of chemical fractions to respective fraction plate of column. Coupling members of heat exchangers are made in form of flat tubes; cross sectional area of flat tube at heat exchanger inlet is determined by the following formula: Str = (Vh.ex.ts-1-Vph. n-1): Ln, where Sn is cross sectional area of flat tube at inlet of respective heat exchanger, sq m; Vh.ex.ts-1 is volume of previous heat exchanger, cu m; Vph. n-1 is volume of phlegm discharged from previous heat exchanger, cu m; Ln is length of flat tube line of respective heat exchanger, m; n is ordinal number of respective heat exchanger.
