<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, by which the generation of partial image defects along an axial direction of an electrophotographic photoreceptor can be suppressed, the image defects resulting from the wear of a cleaning blade in the same portion during forming images, which is caused by polishing of the surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, and to provide a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus using the electrophotographic photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor includes: a layer forming step of forming a coating layer including at least a photosensitive layer located on a surface of an electrophotographic photoreceptor formed into a cylinder; and a polishing step of polishing the surface of the coating layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor by rotating the electrophotographic photoreceptor having the coating layer formed in the layer forming step, and while keeping a polishing member in contact with the surface of the coating layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, by moving the polishing member in a direction intersecting a circumferential direction of the electrophotographic photoreceptor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
