OPTICAL DETECTOR, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND PROJECTION TYPE DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical detector, an electronic apparatus and a projection type display device that can uniform detection accuracy in a wide detection area.

SOLUTION: The optical detector includes: an irradiation part EU emitting irradiation light LT; a light-receiving part RU receiving reflected light LR due to reflection of the irradiation light LT by an object OB existing in a detection area RDET; and a detection part 110 detecting position detection information on the object OB based on the light-receiving result of the light-receiving part RU. In an irradiation range stipulated by a first surface SF1 which becomes an oblique direction in relation to an object surface SOB set with the detection area RDET therein and a second surface SF2 which becomes an oblique direction in relation to the object surface SOB and has a larger angle formed with the object surface SOB than an angle formed between the first surface SF1 and the object surface SOB, the irradiation part EU emits the irradiation light LT having first intensity in a direction along the first surface SF1 and second intensity lower than the first intensity in a direction along the second surface SF2.
