<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of encoding a motion picture sequence at a high compression rate and reducing a recording capacity and a transmission band. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device has: a sub sampling part 13 controlling a sampling position of each frame in an input image to generate a sub sampling image; a controller 11 allocating a frame at the same sampling position as an encoding target frame as a reference frame of the encoding target frame preferentially based on information of the sampling position of each frame and a GOP structure of an encoding stream; and an encoder 14 performing motion picture compression processing by interframe prediction based on the sub sampling image of the encoding target frame and the reference frame allocated by the controller, and encoding the encoding target frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
