<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a bonding strength of an external electrode degrades if a polishing time becomes longer when polishing is applied to a component body for a sufficient degree of exposure of an internal electrode, in such a situation as a plating film that is formed by growing a plating deposition precipitated at exposure ends of a plurality of internal electrodes of the component body is used to form the external electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A curvature radius of a rounded beveling part 31 formed at a ridge part of a component body 2 is suppressed to be 0.01 mm or less during a polishing process, and exposure ends 15 and 18 of end faces 7 and 8 of internal electrodes 11 and 12 are positioned to be recessed from the end faces 7 and 8 by a recess length of 1 μm or less. Consequently, an ion milling method is appropriately employed for the polishing process. The plating film which comes to be external electrodes 21 and 22 is formed to extend by going over the rounded beveling part 31 from the end faces 7 and 8 of the component body 2, with its end edge positioned on main surfaces 3 and 4 and/or side surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
