The counterbalance forklift truck (1) has a unit chamber (4) arranged inside a vehicle frame (2) and a lateral frame opening (11) is formed in the vehicle frame. A combustion engine (20) is mounted on a supporting frame (25) with a hydraulic pump supplying the working hydraulic or the steering hydraulic. The supporting frame is formed as a pre-mounted assembly forming an engine unit, where the supporting frame is installed or removed from the unit chamber in the horizontal direction through the lateral frame opening.
