Hybrid particle comprises at least two vinyl polymers (A and B), where the vinyl polymer A comprises colloidal silicon dioxide particles with an average particle size of 1-150 nm, and the vinyl polymer B is able to crosslink the hybrid particle with each other. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing the hybrid particle, comprising (a) polymerizing at least one vinyl monomer in the presence of the colloidal silicon dioxide particles in a first polymerization step, and (b) polymerizing at least one vinyl monomer in the presence of the vinyl polymers obtained in the first polymerization step in a second polymerization step; (2) an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising the hybrid particle; and (3) a polymeric material comprising the crosslinked hybrid particle, where the polymeric material is obtained by removing water from the polymer dispersion. |
