<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition capable of enhancing α-wave as a criterion of anti-stress/relax even in a low-anxiety population where α-wave-enhanced effect is not recognized with theanine alone and also yielding α-wave-enhanced effect with an amount of theanine less than theanine singly in a high-anxiety population, in view of the fact that, conventionally, the anti-stressing and relaxing effect of theanine has been known, and it has been disclosed that mental and physical sicknesses developed by stress can be prevented by mitigating the stressed conditions of sympathetic nerve with L-theanine as active ingredient; further, by oral administration of theanine, α-wave is enhanced and a relaxing effect is recognized, but as for theanine, enhancement of α-wave power has not always been recognized for all persons. <P>SOLUTION: This composition comprises one or more ingredients seleted from the group consisting of theanine, herb, GABA(γ-aminobutyric acid) and palatinose. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
