PURPOSE: An AM-PM synchronization unit is provided to synchronize the modulation of a PM signaling path and an AM signaling path by providing a polar modulation signal having a zero amplitude in a symbol boundary having a zero phase. CONSTITUTION: A polar modulation circuit(300) includes an AM conversion component(302) and a phase modulation component(304). The AM conversion component generates a high frequency amplitude modulating signal substantially having a zero amplitude in a switching point corresponding to a 180°phase shift in a phase modulation baseband signal. The AM conversion component generates a control signal in the switching point. The phase modulation component generates a high frequency phase modulation carrier signal by introducing high frequency phase modulation to the high frequency carrier signal based on the control signal. An amplitude modulation unit(306) introduces the amplitude modulation of the polar modulation signal to the high frequency carrier signal. |
