PURPOSE: An apparatus for filtering foreign materials from coolant for cooling a hot dip galvanizing plate is provided to prevent the malfunction of the apparatus by continuously filtering foreign materials from coolant. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for filtering foreign materials from coolant for cooling a hot dip galvanizing plate includes a tank(110), a sealing plate(120), a filter(130), and a direction adjusting member(140). The tank includes an inlet(111). An outlet(112) is formed at the lower side of the tank. A partition is prepared in the tank. A coolant sensor(115) is installed at the upper side of the tank. The sealing plate is horizontally formed in the tank, and the height of the sealing plate is lower than the position of the inlet. The filter is spaced apart from the surface of the sealing plate. The direction adjusting member is installed at one side of the tank and adjusts the direction of coolant into the tank.
