PURPOSE: A wave power generation apparatus is provided to generate large wave power by increasing frictional force between waves and a floating unit by forming a plurality of projections on an outer circumference of the floating unit. CONSTITUTION: A wave power generation apparatus comprises a guide bar(200), a fixing unit(220), a floating unit, and a power generation unit(221). One end of the guide bar is inserted under the water. The fixing unit fixes the guide bar under the water. The floating unit moves up and down by waves. The power generation unit comprises a rack gear and a rotary gear. The rack gear is fixed to the guide bar. The rotary gear generates rotational force for operating a power generator of a compressor when the floating unit moves up and down. The rotary gear is engaged with the rack gear, and rotates.
