PURPOSE: A smart phone for providing a card transaction using a volatile authentication value and a method thereof are provided to authenticate justification about a card transaction through a volatility authentication value which is generated in a smart phone without a hacking attempt of the smart phone using a data communication network. CONSTITUTION: A user registration unit(130) transmits issue company information and a user identification value to a operation server which is cooperated with an issue company. An authentication value generation unit(145) applies a key generation function to a dynamic seed value which is dynamically determined based on a fixed seed value and a dynamic seed determination value which are stored in a medium. The authentication value generation unit generates a volatility authentication value dynamically. A authentication value output unit(150) outputs the volatility authentication value which is generated on a screen.
