<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methane conversion/recovery system of underground carbon dioxide, which can convert the carbon dioxide stored under the ground into a methane useful as an energy source and recover it, requires no energy supplies other than electron supply, and can effectively uses an electric power such as renewable energy etc. <P>SOLUTION: The methane conversion/recovery system of the underground carbon dioxide has a methane conversion means that converts the carbon dioxide stored under the ground into the methane, and a methane recovery means that recovers the generated methane. The methane conversion means is provided with an electrode well installed in the underground storage layer of carbon dioxide, a power source, and a cable, the electrode well contains an electrode well outer wall, an anode electrode, a cathode electrode, and a separator, the cathode electrode has methane bacterium distributed on its surface and can contact the carbon dioxide, and the separator is vapor and liquid permeable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
