<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize preliminary ejection amount and suction speed of the suction operation when performing at least one of preliminary ejection and a suction operation as a countermeasure against deposits deposited on the portion where preliminary ejection is performed. <P>SOLUTION: As the elapsed time after the previous suction operation to a preliminary ejection-receiving unit becomes longer, at least one of the amount of ink that is preliminarily ejected to the receiving unit and an ink suction speed at the suction operation to the receiving unit is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
