<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a honeycomb structure having a plurality of flow passages divided by a porous partition wall, and sealing an end part or inside of the desired flow passage, in which a collection efficiency of PM is high, an increase of a pressure loss is low even in a state where PM is collected and deposited on the partition wall, and further, a high strength can be maintained. <P>SOLUTION: Air holes (9) having a width of 0.05 to 1 mm and a length of 10 mm or more are formed at least in a part of the partition wall (2) except an intersection point (2p), and the air holes are present in a flow passage direction vertical section by 0.003-0.07 pieces/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>on the average. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
