<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device which includes a fork for taking in loads by advancing and retracting in the side of the load and in which certainty of detecting the load is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer device 20 includes: a load carrying platform 21 on which the load is placed; and the fork 22 for taking in the load onto the upper surface of the load carrying platform 21 by the forward/backward movement thereof to/from the side of the load and further includes: a main pinion 30 to be rotary driven by a motor; a first sub pinion 31 to be engaged with the main pinion 30 and rotated; a rack gear 25 which is engaged with the first sub pinion 31 and used for driving the forward/backward movement of the fork 22 by the rotation of the first sub pinion 31; and a sensor 35 arranged in the upper part of the main pinion 30 and on the side of the first sub pinion 31 so that the optical axis 36 passes through a space between the upper surface of the load carrying platform 21 and the fork 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
