<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dimensionally accurately produce a press component comprising a closed cross-section structure of a bent shape having a curved surface on a bottom part while reducing the production cost as a result of reduction in the number of molding steps or molds. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a structural component with a closed cross section by molding a flat-shaped workpiece B into a closed cross-section structure in which a bottom part B1 is curved along a longitudinal direction. The method includes: a first molding step of forming two or more of the first out-of-plane deformed parts 10 comprising recessed or projecting shapes along the longitudinal direction to at least bottom B1 position and also of forming a bending part B4; and a second molding step of crushing the first out-of-plane deformed part 10 by a pad 4 and a punch 3 by pressing the punch 3 between the dies 5 in such a state as to tuck down the bottom B1 position of the workpiece B by the pad 4 and punch 3, and then bending and molding the bending part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
