<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate test patterns including arbitrary size and number of pattern images in arbitrary positions at a low cost and easily without setting a limit on the number of pattern images depending on the circuit size. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming system 1 is provided with a pattern generating part 240 which generates a predetermined density value in a single rectangular drawing region and a CPU 220 and a RAM 230 which cooperate to instruct the pattern generating part 240 about drawing parameters comprising drawing positions, the range of drawing and density output values. The CPU 220 and the RAM 230 execute a program for repeating several instructions within a specified range of vertical scanning for giving several drawing parameters to the pattern generating part 240 during one main scanning. The pattern generating part 240 is provided with a timing control means which keeps execution of subsequent orders of the CPU 220 temporarily suspended until the image formation within one scanning range with the drawing parameters previously given during the main scanning is finished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
