<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug carrier for release and delivery having protease resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The composition contains a stable protein (SP1 polypeptide) being in a reversible molecular association with a nanoparticle. The SP1 polypeptide is selected from the group consisting of the SP1 isolated from aspen plants (Populus tremula), an SP1 variant including a gold-binding peptide, and an SP1 variant containing a silicon-binding peptide.
